It was a REALLY HOT affaire!

The Flea Affaire was a nice success and I thank everyone who stopped by the booth!  The event planners (unbeknownst to them) picked the hottest day we've seen around here this year, so I really appreciate those who came out!  Susan and I will be doing a couple more events.. One in June and One in July, I 'll post more info as it becomes available.  Here a e a couple photos of our "booth" at The Flea Affaire!

April Fools Day!

Watch your back today! But most of all, HAVE FUN!

In France the person fooled is known as poisson d'avril (April fish). This has been explained as arising from the fact that in April the sun quits the zodiacal sign of the fish. The French traditionally celebrated this holiday by placing dead fish on the backs of friends. Today, real fish have been replaced with sticky, fish-shaped paper cut-outs that children try to sneak onto the back of their friends' shirts. Candy shops and bakeries also offer fish-shaped sweets for the holiday.041

Not to change the subject but, Here's what I've been up to:

This is one of the products of my first attempt at Felting! The ivory part of the purse I crocheted the wool and then felted it in my washing machine.  I made the green leaves and pink flowers from wool sweaters I picked up in Thrift stores. So fun!

Wake up Diana! It's March already!

It's been far too long since I posted anything... I 've been working like crazy trying to get this art thing going and it's hard. I am my own worst enemy!  I love to just sit and create and I realize I am blessed with the opportunity to do just that...sit and create.  So I send thanks to all the creative forces out there for giving me this opportunity-- to have such a blessed life this go round.  I'd love to make a living at this, but perhaps, that is asking too much.  I am grateful for all I have.  THANK YOU.003 006
